FAQ

Colocation is a service that allows you to host your own servers, switches, routers, firewalls, and other equipment in a professional data center infrastructure.

You maintain full control over the hardware while ServerSP provides rack space, power, connectivity, monitoring, and operational support.

All plans include:

  • Rack space according to the selected plan;
  • Included electrical power;
  • Network ports for connectivity;
  • Dedicated port for remote management (IPMI, iDRAC, iLO, or BMC);
  • /29 IPv4 block;
  • /64 IPv6 prefix;
  • Support for BGP and BYOIP;
  • 24x7 infrastructure monitoring.

Yes. Equipment can be connected to two independent electrical circuits (A+B), providing higher availability and reducing the risk of downtime caused by a failure in one of the power feeds.

Servers with redundant power supplies can be connected to both circuits simultaneously for greater operational resilience.

ATS (Automatic Transfer Switch) is a device that allows servers with only one power supply to use two independent electrical circuits.

If one of the power feeds fails, the ATS automatically transfers the load to the available circuit.

For Half Rack (20U) and Full Rack (47U) plans, we provide one ATS with 8 outlets at no additional cost.

  • Physical installation of the equipment in the rack;
  • LAN connectivity of up to 20 Gbps per server (2x 10 GbE ports);
  • Dedicated port for remote management via IPMI, iDRAC, iLO, or BMC;
  • Unlimited Internet with port speeds of up to 1 Gbps;
  • Protected and monitored power;
  • On-site technical support (Smart Hands);
  • Continuous infrastructure monitoring.

Yes. All plans include IP transit.

For individual server plans, usage must comply with the Fair Usage Policy (FUP). For Half Rack (20U) and Full Rack (47U) plans, continuous use of the contracted capacity is allowed.

BYOIP (Bring Your Own IP) allows you to use your own IPv4 and IPv6 blocks within ServerSP’s infrastructure.

Prefixes can be announced through ServerSP’s ASN or through the customer’s own ASN, depending on the adopted architecture.

BGP (Border Gateway Protocol) is the protocol used to announce and receive routes on the Internet.

With BGP, you can announce your own IPv4 and IPv6 blocks using your ASN and maintain greater control over your infrastructure and routing policies.

No. BGP support with a default route and BYOIP are included in the colocation plans at no additional cost.

Yes. You can install servers, routers, switches, firewalls, security appliances, and other equipment compatible with the contracted space.

We provide PDUs and the necessary cabling for installation.

Rails must be provided by the customer and must be compatible with the installed equipment.

The equipment must be shipped directly to the data center.

Before shipping, please contact our team to receive delivery instructions and equipment identification requirements.

Yes. The service can be contracted on demand or through pre-contracted monthly packages.

Yes.

Customers with Half Rack (20U) and Full Rack (47U) plans have access to the environment subject to the data center’s security procedures.

For individual server plans in a shared rack, visits can be scheduled, but direct access to the rack may be restricted for security reasons and due to the shared nature of the environment.

All equipment must be supplied with compatible rails or another suitable mounting system for installation in a standard 19-inch rack.

For server hosting, each device must have a network card with at least two 10 Gbps ports (2x10Gb SFP+).

We recommend connecting both network interfaces to the data center infrastructure to provide redundancy and higher connectivity availability.

Yes. We provide a dedicated port for remote management through technologies such as Dell iDRAC, HPE iLO, Supermicro BMC, and other compatible solutions.

We also provide VPN access for greater security.

1U and 2U plans can be contracted with no commitment.

It is also possible to contract 12, 24, or 36-month terms to obtain special commercial conditions.

Half Rack (20U) and Full Rack (47U) plans have a minimum 24-month commitment.

Yes. Additional power can be contracted according to availability.

The current price is R$1,500.00 per additional kVA.

Yes. Cross-connects can be contracted for interconnection with carriers, IXs, and other environments available in the data center.

The price is R$400.00 per month per cross-connect.

Yes. You can contract a connection to the IX as long as you have the required resources with IX.br.

ServerSP provides the necessary physical infrastructure through a cross-connect. Costs related to IX.br are the customer’s responsibility.

We offer a 100% power SLA, backed by redundant infrastructure and continuous monitoring of the electrical systems.

Our infrastructure is monitored 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including electrical systems, connectivity, and the operational environment.

Yes. We can develop custom colocation solutions with space, power, connectivity, and specific resources to meet your operation’s needs.
