Bring Your Own IP (BYOIP) – IP Announcement & BGP Peering

Enhance your network flexibility with our BYOIP (Bring Your Own IP) service, designed for businesses that need to announce their own IP prefixes using reliable BGP peering. Whether you own IP blocks or need additional IP resources, ServerSP’s robust infrastructure ensures seamless integration, optimal performance, and global reach.

Announce Your Own IP Space

Already have your own IP address blocks? We make it easy to announce your IPs via our BGP-enabled network. Even without an ASN (Autonomous System Number), you can still announce your IPs through our ASN (AS214456) — maintaining full control and global connectivity.

This solution is perfect for companies that want to retain existing IP configurations, avoid complex migrations, or expand globally without disruptions.

IP Announcement and BGP Services Include:

  • Seamless IP Integration: Use your BYOIP ranges with our Bare Metal Servers, VPS plans, or Virtual Data Center infrastructure.
  • Use Your ASN or Ours: Announce your IP prefixes through your own ASN or via our ASN if you don’t have one.
  • Global BGP Connectivity: Supported by multiple upstream providers for low latency and efficient routing across the world.
  • Full Routing Flexibility: Route your IP blocks to any ServerSP instance — no restrictions, complete control.

Location: Miami, Florida

Our entire BYOIP and BGP announcement infrastructure is located in Miami, Florida, a prime location with direct connectivity to North America, Latin America, and the Caribbean. Miami is a Tier 1 interconnection hub, making it ideal for latency-sensitive services and international operations.

FAQs: Bring Your Own IP

What is BYOIP (Bring Your Own IP)?

BYOIP is a service that allows you to announce your own public IP address blocks using our BGP-enabled infrastructure. This gives you full control over your IP space without needing to change your addressing scheme.

Can I use BYOIP without having my own ASN?

Yes. If you don’t have an ASN (Autonomous System Number), ServerSP can announce your IP blocks using our ASN (AS214456). This ensures full functionality and reachability for your IP space.

What types of IP blocks can I bring?

You can bring both IPv4 and IPv6 address blocks. We’ll review the RPKI/IRR data and LOAs to validate ownership before announcement.

Can I use BYOIP across multiple services?

Yes. Your IPs can be routed to any of our services — including dedicated servers, VPS, and Virtual Data Center platforms — offering full flexibility.

Is BYOIP available outside ServerSP’s infrastructure?

No. BYOIP is available only within ServerSP’s network. The IPs you bring are announced and routed exclusively through our data center in Miami, Florida.

How long does it take to activate BYOIP?

Once we validate ownership and receive the necessary LOA, BYOIP configurations are typically activated within 1 to 2 business days.

Can I use BYOIP with IPs rented from IPXO?

Yes. If you lease IP address blocks from IPXO, we can announce them through our infrastructure using your ASN or ours. As long as the IPs are properly delegated to your organization and include a valid LOA and RPKI data, our BYOIP system fully supports IPXO-leased resources.

Do I need RPKI and LOA to use BYOIP?

Yes. To announce your IP blocks via our BYOIP service, you must provide a valid LOA (Letter of Authorization) and ensure the IP space is properly registered in RPKI and IRR databases. This guarantees secure and verifiable routing through our ASN or yours.

Can I stop announcing the IPs at any time?

Yes. You can request the removal of your IP announcement at any time. We’ll promptly withdraw the prefix from our BGP sessions, allowing you to reassign or reroute the IP block as needed.
